Styles
Introductory Bollywood
An introductory bollywood dancing class is a selection of all dance styles being used in the hindi film industry today. It includes glimpses of Traditional/ Folk, Golden, Sensous and Modern dancing. Aimed at beginners, this course is the perfect overview of Bollywood dancing techniques from a bird's eye view. Over eleven classes you will learn the importance of lyrics and how they combine with the music to influence definite dancing styles. Expressions have always played a vital role in Bollywood Dancing, with these classes you will learn how and where to use these in sync with choreography. With a mix of foot tapping music to enthrall you, it is an experience providing you with a perfect fitness routine and excercise.

Traditional/Folk Bollywood
India is a land of multiple dance forms. Inspired from a variety of regional dance forms, Traditional / Folk Bollywood classes explore the breadth of Indian dance forms mixed on Bollywood beats. Bollywood movies vindicate their plotlines in numerous regional settings, employing regional dance routines. You can witness hints and glimpses of folk dances like Garba from Gujarat, Ghoomar from Rajasthan or Bhangra from Punjab in various bollywood songs. The use of classical dance forms like Bharatnatyam or Kathak are also very much prevalent in many bollywood movies. through these classes you will be learning a plethora of Indian regional folk dances in the bollywood way. The course with a selection of Bollywood dance routines based on Indian folk and classical dance forms will provide a sound base for young dancers wanting to pursue bollywood dancing further. it would also be suitable for people who want to jive on the beats of Bhangra or Garba.
Sensuous Bollywood
Sensuality is expressed in various ways in most Bollywood movies. Whether it is in the vigourous hip shaking sequences, belly dancing moves or simply through expressions and body movement, Bollywood has it all. This course greases through sensousness, by appreciating the male and female bodies in a lot of ways. It explores various ways in which Bollywood movies show sensuality in their dances. In its own unique way, this has changed over the ages. You will learn how the Indian society and culture has evolved over the times; from the times when portraying sensuality and love meant a show of flowers and the rain to heavy tell tale moves of seduction of today. A unique course for those who are interested in the sensuality of Bollywood dance.
Golden Bollywood
This course traces the growth of Bollywood dancing when it began. It takes you back to the 1940's to the 1970's which was termed the Golden era in Bollywood. The times were different, the routines simple and elegant, the dancing style had a traditional yet expressive touch to it, the costumes conservative. Bollywood has seen exemplary growth over the past few decades. This course looks at the moves, values and portrayals which made Bollywood what it is. The use of classical dances like Kathak, Bharatnatyam and the use of facial expressions wooed audiences to the theatre. You will learn the basic moves which catapulted actors like Madhubala, Amitabh Bacchan, Zeenat Aman, Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore into legendary characters. These would be suitable for anyone wantingto learn about the history of Bollywood dancing and also for anyone who wants to feel the retro and old style Bollywood dancing.
Modern Bollywood
As the name suggests, Modern Bollywood dance classes encompass all global dance styles which are employed in Bollywood dancing today. Bollywood has transformed to become a global name today, and so has the dancing style. This course entails upbeat bollywood music and modern style choreography. Traces of Hip-Hop, Jive, Salsa, Jazz and even Street dancing can be found in modern Bollywood dancing. You will learn the basics of these styles and their use in Bollywood dance. With the music beats ruling choreography, modern bollywood dancing is perfect for a night out with friends. This course is suitable for people who have prior experience in Bollywood dancing and are looking forward to improve their skills and also for those who want to have a good time at a club night.
Contemporary Bollywood
If Accentuated body movements, tremendous excercise and a need to express yourself in the most dynamic way possible are on your mind, then this the course for you. Using Bollywood music and choreography to express a theme, Contemporary Bollywood dancing is a course for people with advanced knowledge of Bollywood dancing. Highlighting group choreography and heavy bodily movements, this course uses all bollywood dance styles together in an enchanting new way to represent a particular composition. Articulated for advanced level students, it is an introduction to radical choreography.
